-Noah turned 7 months old on August 9! He is super happy, giggly and sweet as can be. He is looking so old to us. Sometimes he wakes up from a nap and I think he looks bigger!
-Noah went to Duff's (home of the best wings ever) for the first time. You'll see from the picture below that he was in awe! He's a wing lover already!
-The first week in August we had some fun times with friends-blueberry picking and a kiddie pool party. Noah LOVES the water! He was the youngest kid there so all the big kids were splashing away and he wanted to be right in the action. The water was really cold, so I was trying to ease him into it, but he wanted to get right in there. He also spent time in our friends pool which he loved. Baths are great fun-he loves splashing. He doesn't mind getting water on his face or head which makes it easy for us.
-He had a doctor visit and more shots. Noah weighed in at 16 lb 2.5 oz and is 26.75 in tall. He handled the shots well.
-We've been making trips to the Farmers Market. Noah likes looking around at all the people. He's a hit with some of the farmers. Daryl has been working hard at our garden this summer. It's probably our best year yet. We've been growing squash, zucchini, tomatoes, strawberries, potatoes, cucumbers and peppers. We also joined a CSA this year and are currently waiting for our 1/4 cow to be ready. We're trying hard to eat healthier and more local, natural foods.
-We went to Park Ave Fest with a few of Daryl's co-workers to hear one of their husbands band. Noah got to play with a girl a few months older than him. He was more interested in her toys than her :) We also went to the Avon Corn Fest.
-Our friends came for a long weekend. That was alot of fun! We went to Springdale Farms to visit the animals.
-Daryl has been off this week so our days have been busy. We've been spending lots of time outside-walks at the park, picnics, playing outside...Noah has been learning to fish with Daddy. He also experienced sand for the first time at Charlotte Beach. It was an instant hit. The next day, Daddy went out to buy sand and we filled up our kiddie pool. Noah loves it! On Wednesday, we walked across the Rainbow Bridge to Niagara Falls, Canada. We spent the day walking around the falls and Clifton Hill. We had a great day!
-New foods: mango, peaches, yogurt, beef, Cheerios, yellow beans and apples. He is a real good eater most days. He is started to sip through a straw on his sippy cup if you hold it up to his mouth, but he prefers to drink from a cup. Whenever we are drinking, he goes right for the glass. He can pick up Cheerios sometimes using a raking motion, but by the time he gets it up to his mouth, he has either dropped the Cheerio or it is stuck somewhere on his sticky hands and he can't get it. He eats about 4 oz twice per day.
-He has had some difficulty sleeping at night and has been waking up 2 or more times each night. Last night he slept through the night and we all feel refreshed today :) Naps have been good most days.
-No teeth yet
-Now when you take something away from him-he cries....but not for long thankfully.
-He loved watching the Olympics. Ok, he loves watching anything on TV. We don't have it on very often, but when we do, he will strain his neck and wiggle to make sure he can see it.
