-Mom spending a whole weekend and then some, decorating the house, inside and out
-Grandma making pitzelles...yum!
-xmas tree shopping-we would go to several stores before mom found one she liked....then every year dad would have a battle with the tree trying to make it stand straight
-The grandkids admiring the Christmas Village or the Mickey Mouse carolers in the living room
-Homemade pizza on xmas eve...I loved the smell of the garlic cooking!
-opening up a present or 2 on xmas eve....including our xmas jammies
-attending the 11:00 candlelight church service. When we got out it was really Christmas!
-watching the end of It's a Wonderful Life after the church service
- STOCKINGS!!!!
-mom still being in her PJ's cooking when the first guests arrived on xmas
-creamed corn, fennel, homemade stuffing, olives, green jello and BURNED rolls at xmas dinner
-Grandpa making everyone at the table taste red wine with their dinner
-dad cutting the turkey
-The dining room table...plus a folding table...plus another folding table...plus a kids table...
-dad saying grace before dinner
-mom saying "everyone out of the kitchen!"
Mom and Dad-I miss you each and every day, but especially at Christmas. It was always a special time of year. Your love for Christmas lives on...we still make homemade pizza on xmas, Daryl gives me my jammies, we watch "It's a Wonderful Life", Steve cuts the turkey and I usually burn the rolls! This year, I have the skating rink just like moms. Thank you for all the memories and traditions!

Awesome job Kristen! Love the pictures You really captured the Christmas spirit from years gone by. Lets not forget my new cookie sheets every year cause Mom couldn't stand how gross mine were. Making Christmas Cut outs with You, Mom and all the kids, more sprinkles and frosting on the table and floor than on the cookies. Poor Rudolph never did make it out in one piece. Yes its true Mom and Dom made this holiday special for all of us every year. I miss them soo much! All we can do now is carry on her traditions and pass them on to our kids! Thanks Kristen - Love you! Enjoy your ice pond it took 3 years but it's where it belongs now!
