Weeks 42-48

It's been a while since our last update, but we've been busy with the move.  We closed on our new house on November 14 and started moving the next day.  It's been quite different moving this time than when we moved into our last house.  We have a very busy kid to keep up with now!  Trying to pack and unpack while Noah is awake doesn't really happen-haha!  We are really enjoying our new house so far.  It's a great location-we are out in the country (horses next door, roosters to greet us in the morning, no street lights and quiet roads) yet only 15 minutes from the staples-Wegmans, Target, etc.  We've met the neighbors on either side of us and they seem very friendly!  We now have almost 6 acres, with a pond and lots of trees and landscaping so the yard work is quite different for Daryl!  Thankfully, he loves the outdoors :)  Our yard offers a beautiful view which makes me smile every morning.  I can't wait for summer when Noah can run around and explore the backyard!

Our little guy has changed so much and is getting so big!  On November 2, he stood alone for the first time and now he stands for well over a minute or two.   October 23, we started finding him sitting up in his crib and on November 5, he was standing in the crib (and thought it was hilarious!).  A week later, he took his first step and now he is taking up to 4 steps.  He walks well with 1 hand held and is cruising along everything.  He initially crawled keeping his left foot on the floor, but now he has a more typical crawl.  He prefers to be standing though.  He has been eating alot of new foods and pretty much eats anything now-Strawberries, grilled cheese, lasagna, chic peas, chicken noodle soup, watermelon, bagels with cream cheese, pasta, meat, scrambled eggs.  His favorite foods are cheese, fruits and bagels.  He is a good eater most days and not too picky.  He is good at sharing and will usually try to feed us too.  His tricks during this time have included "so big," clicking his tongue, fish lips, waving to himself first, then several days later waved bye-bye to daddy, clapping for himself and just the other day he used a spoon to feed himself yogurt (definitely not pretty, but he did it!!).  He loves bathtime, splashing in the water, playing in the cupboards-especially the pots and pans, riding his bike, the remote, our cell phones, the M&M ornament on the Christmas tree, ripping paper, unloading the laundry basket, clearing books off his shelf, putting things in and taking things out, Ruby, wiping things with a rag, the computer keyboard, taking his socks off and eating them, watching people, biting our noses, the mall playground and throwing things.  He has quite the arm on him!  Noah's sweet little personality is really shining through.  He is most often happy, laughing and playing.  He will give out random kisses and gets so excited when daddy comes home from work.  He looks so sweet when he is sleeping and sometimes I still hold him during his nap, because someday he won't let me do that.  He is cutting 4 top teeth right now.  Ugh!

Noah celebrated his first Halloween.  He was a dragasaurous (we weren't sure if it was a dragon or a dinosaur) for part of the day, and a firefighter the other part.  He enjoyed handing out candy at our house.  He loved Thanksgiving dinner!  He ate a ton!  Turkey, potatoes, veggies, stuffing-he couldn't get enough!

October 23, he got sick for the first time.  He puked several times that day and was so sick.  We were very thankful that it did not last long.  The bumps and bruises have also started.  Our new house has hardwoods and Noah took a few bad spills the first days in our new house.  The first day he got a bloody mouth and the next day, he ended up with a big bruise on his face.  Poor guy!

We've enjoyed the Christmas season and have been trying to get out and see and do lots of things.  We played in the leaves on Thanksgiving (I've never had leaves to play in!), cut down our Christmas tree, decorated the house, went to a Christmas parade and visited local Christmas attractions.  We are really looking forward to Christmas day with our little buddy!

 Noah loved the pumpkin guts!
