The Gauck's: 23 Months-Dec 9, 2013

Lots of language popping up these days. Noah is repeating everything, and although it's not always clear, he tries his best. I am pretty sure he repeated a swear word that was heard from the person in line behind us at Wegmans. Yikes! He is stringing together words and really getting his point across-"mom-sit here! Dad-come here! (come here sounds like "mere"), I see it, catch you, where are you tractor? (often heard when we are driving and he is searching for tractors out in the fields), etc, etc. The other night, it was evident that he pooped. I said, "Noah-did you poop?" He said "umm....no! Ella poop. Daddy poop." Haha! Some of the ways he says things are soooo cute. We will miss it when he is able to say them correctly. For example-Amen is A-mean. Tickle is dickle dickle dickle (said it a silly little voice).

He LOVES Ella. She is the first one he greets in the morning and he is always trying to play with her. His new thing is to go get her "deats" (treats). Sometimes, he will tell her to sit before he gives them to her, and sometimes he likes to hide the treats from her. Daryl usually takes Ella and Noah out in the mornings to run around the yard. They all have a great time out there! He is still very much into trains, trucks and tractors. He sleeps with his tractor (and Elmo, teddy, George and 5 blankets which he hand picked!) and always thinks a tractor is going down the road when he hears a loud truck noise. Daryl put the train around the tree and that has been alot of fun for him. He could sit there for a long time just watching the train go around. We took a Polar Express train ride in Medina a few weekends ago. We spent about 2 hours looking at their model train display before the ride. It was amazing and we all enjoyed it.

Opening up his chocolate advent calendar. His favorite time of the day! I found him sitting ON the counter top trying to open another door the other day.
